Project Home Again has teamed up with Simply Organized – which is a small business run by two local women. Their purpose is to help people de-clutter their living space and maximize safety and function. This is a perfect opportunity for those who have too much to share with those who have too little! In addition, they help seniors make the necessary decisions in order to make the move to independent, assisted living or retirement communities. In aiding seniors, they help decide what should be moved and what should be given away. Then they coordinate the relocation, sale, disposal and (here’s were we come in) donation of these items. I am sure it will make many of these seniors feel good to know that as they start a new chapter in their lives, their household furnishings will enable someone else to do so as well! To contact Simply Organized, you can call Liz Elowe, MSW at 978.475.4843 or Sue Rice at 978.475.2357.

Many local organizations also help those in need. Before you throw something away, check and see if someone is looking for that item.

This page is a work in progress. As we are contacted by other organizations, we will supply their information below:

The Travel Angels:

If you travel, take cruises, or stay at hotels, you can be a Travel Angel. Here's how:

Travel-size, personal hygiene items are provided free of charge by hotels and cruise lines – shampoos, conditioners, soap, tooth brushes and toothpaste, lotions, shower caps, sewing kits, powder, and other toiletries are replenished daily for the convenience of their guests.

We’ve heard from homeless shelters, veterans' groups, and other non-profits that toiletry items are in great demand and very much appreciated by those unable to purchase these necessities on their own.
